Judge Stan Strickland rejected attorney Jose Baez’s motion for a secret meeting with the judge. Baez, who is representing Anthony, evidently had hoped to subpoena records but keep them secret.
WFTV-Channel 9 anchor Martie Salt said Baez “had filed the request in the wrong case file, so at first there was confusion. But once it got to the judge’s office, he turned it down without a hearing. Judge Strickland ruled there is no legal basis for that kind of request.”
WESH-Channel 2’s Bob Kealing said his station “has learned Baez may try a slightly different tactic to get the evidence he is looking for.”
Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee.
Baez questioned Kiomarie Cruz, a childhood friend of Casey Anthony, in a private deposition.
In an interview with WESH, Brad Conway blasted Cruz’s statement that Casey wanted to give up Caylee.
“It’s garbage. Casey never discussed putting that child up for adoption,” said Conway, the attorney for George and Cindy Anthony. “If Caylee needed to be taken care of, George and Cindy Anthony would have taken care of their grandchild as their own.”
Conway also disputed other parts of Cruz’s story, which she had sold to The National Enquirer. He said that Cindy did not force Casey to keep Caylee.
And Conway said that Casey as a child did not bury her pets in the area that Cruz claimed. Caylee’s remains were found near that spot.Casey Anthony New Photos
WFTV explained the lineup in Baez’s depositions: three corrections officers and private investigator Jim Hoover go tomorrow. Investigators from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office will go Friday.

I think someone should start a pool of “guesses” as to what Baez’s defense is going to consist of. What has almost every living person missed in all of that evidence that will point to Casey Anthonys innocence? I’m trying, but seriously…….it hurts my brain to come up with something (try to dismiss the evidence) come up with something else, try to dismiss the edince)…and on and on and on………..
What the hell does Conway know about Casey and what she wanted to do or not do, waht she did or didn’t do? He doesn’t know a damn thing about Casey except what his whackjob clients have told him and yeah we all know that George and Cindy tell the truth LOL George and Cindy didn’t know what Casey was or wasn’t doing! . Conway needs to worry about his own crazy clients who hopefully are going to be charged with Obstruction.
And how on God’s green earth would Brad Conway know of ANY conversation that took place between Casey and Kiomarie?!?!? Did he even know Casey Anthony at the time this conversation took place? Ummmm . . . that would be . . . NO!!!!!
Come on Brad, old boy. One bumbling idiot at a time is enough to deal with. You might not want to be so quick to defend Crazy • ~ • will any of us be surprised if Bozo and she try to pin this murder on Grandma Cindy? Wouldn’t surprise me at all. I think Casey would see it as just the best revenge ever. Not only deprive Mommy muffin-head of her little granddaughter, but also put her away for life!!!
And yes, Mona. I believe that Cindy Anthony, by all accounts should be handcuffed and taken away on an Obstruction of Justice charge.
Just one example (and there are plenty) was when she was asked about intentionally giving the FBI the wrong hairbrush, her response: “I never lied. I just never went to my bathroom to get the hairbrush that I used only for Caylee.” She doesn’t consider that lying?!?!?
The entire Anthony bloodline is tainted and needs to be eliminated. In MY opinion.
No, that example of Cindy was not Cindy lieing, nor was she onstructing Justice at any point known to the public, if one only actually deals only with the facts of this case. 🙂

I do not understand how Brad Conway knows that Casey did not tell KioMarie about her adopting Caylee. How does he know that Casey did not bury her pets there? The only way he is getting his nformation is through his clients the Anthony’s. We all know they lie to protect Casey. This will all come out in the trial.
Is the state of FLORIDA and most Americans the only ones that care about Caylee? When did Conway become Casey’s bff? What did I miss?

I have read on other blogs that Kiomarie is a liar like Casey. For instance Caylee was not named Marie after Kio. She was named that after tradition i.e. Cindy Marie, Casey Marie, Caylee. Jesse said Casey fessed up to being pregnant in June and gave birth in Aug. (God the denial in that family) and she told Jesse “if I have to work this hard I’m going to keep it”
I find it hard to believe some one who A> is friends with Casey and B. would sell her story to a tabloid magazine, she’s as bad profiting off a dead baby! If she gave it to charity, then tell everyone which one was it?
As far as profiting from Caylee’s death, if you research it well enough, Nancy Grace of CNN has made over 30 million dollars since last June on the Caylee case so far. I believe her actual profit comes in at 38 million dollars. That is a crime in and of itself. 😦

Simple solution = Tall Tree & a Short Rope. The taxpayer burden in addition to the diservice to the little girls memory by playing along with this drama trumps this splooge bag anderson’s lawyer’s claim of any deserving constitutional rights. She’d crack and confess within 20 feet of the noose. A gutless peice of garbage. Brother and grandparents deserve Obstruc/Jus convictions – ignorance is no defense.
